Memory #18: ☆ Leaving Konoha. [Note: I say goodbye to Sakura ↔ Ch181P01-18 | Ch183P18-Ch184P11] (Significant Neutral)

What he remembered/learned:
- This memory is full of feelings from the start, but the most important thing is Sasuke's determination to leave.
- Sasuke's room is impersonal and doesn't look like the room of a twelve years old at all. There's a portrait of Team 7, which he looks at before leaving for good.
- Finding Sakura on his way out of the village. "Get out of here . . . and go back to sleep."
- "I told you: I don't need your help. Don't try to look after me."
- When Sakura tells him that revenge won't bring Sasuke happiness: "I already know. I'm different from you all. I can't be following the same path as you guys. Up until now, we've done everything as a group, but there's something else I must do. Deep inside my heart, I've already decided on revenge. For that reason only, do I live. I'll never be like you or Naruto."
- Sakura confesses her love for Sasuke. He ignores her and calls her annoying, then thanks her and leaves her unconscious. :Db
- Apparently he's leaving with four weird dudes who are calling him "Sasuke-sama."
- Oh yeah. They work for Orochimaru.
- "You must 'die' once." The curse seal he had is because of Orochimaru.
- Takes the drug. \:D/ Which hurt like hell, and then he was put inside a barrel.
What this means:
THIS MEMORY IS PERFECT RIGHT NOW. Mostly because Sasuke is currently coming to terms with his life choices and now he is completely sure that he left the village willingly. Not only that, but that he was aware of how important Team 7 was to him, but his heart decided on revenge anyway. Nothing was more important than Itachi and killing him. During his conversation with Sakura he was annoyed at her because he knew all that but he just had different priorities, even if thinking of Team 7 gave him all the feelings. But really, when a person spends years living alone thinking sorely about revenge and then spends close to a year not being "alone," it doesn't mean it'll be enough to erase all the bad stuff. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS FOR UCHIHA SASUKE and so he made bad decisions and left.
This memory won't have a big impact on the surface, but it will secure a lot of things in Sasuke's mind. He is going to separate himself from most people, in the sense of "I'M NOT LIKE YOU." Why? Because he's an avenger and that totally means he doesn't deserve nice things . . . Except that everyone is trying to make him have fun here, so that'll be interesting. He is more willing here mostly because his goal changed, but yeah. He's more aware that he was a jerk now.
