He dislikes Nii! He feels his methods are wrong and everything he hears about him comes from Naruto, so he has a very bad impression of him even after talking to him enough to form an opinion on him. Also he thinks his logic is ridiculous and stupid. :'D Especially after the cry wolf game.

So how did Nii feel about Koumyou leaving?

IT MADE ME LAUGH.

BUT IT DOESN'T CHANGE THAT IT WAS STUPID AND HIS LOGIC HAD NO SENSE TO SASUKE. He honestly ended up with a super bad impression of Carnelian as a whole, but Reim and Nii in particular. DISAPPROVAL ALL AROUND.

He was . . . not in the greatest of places at the time, but he's worked through it. The best thing he can do right now is keep working to win as much as possible, so he can get out of Aather faster and back to working on resurrection experiments/trying to negate the existence of Genjo Sanzo. (Plus as he recently realized, this isn't the first time Koumyou has left him, and before it was in a much more permanent way. At least now he knows exactly where Koumyou is . . . )

What would have to happen to Carnelian for Sasuke to approve of it as a good team for Naruto? If that is even possible.

Maybe if they started to act like a team instead of a bunch of selfish idiots doing whatever they damn felt like it. Because that's how they come across to him right now!

Light's impressions of Aather so far?

Very general impressions so far! His team is filled with generally good people, it seems . . . but he isn't too happy about being brought here against his will when there was apparently IMPORTANT THINGS happening at home. He resents the implication that saving this world is more important than what's happening in his own. There's a killer on the lose, after all. :D

. . . it's too early for an impression of Light from Kaworu, isn't it?

Kind of! So far he thinks Light is somewhat amusing but there's nothing too interesting so far? But he's part of Coral and Kaworu likes Coral a lot, so he's going to keep poking him.
