Memory #19: ☆ Final fight with Itachi. [This is my revenge ↔ Ch380P07-17 | Ch383P15-Ch394P10] (Significant Negative)

What he remembered/learned:
- Kisame was still around his brother. He tells him that he needs to continue on alone. Sasuke agrees, because he only formed Team Hebi for that reason.
- "This is my revenge"
- "What do you see with that Sharingan of yours?" "What do I see, Itachi? With the power I've gained, I see one thing that is crystal clear. I see you dead." "You see me dead? Well then, let's see how good your eyesight is."
- So much hatred. All the hatred ever. It's just . . . intense and toxic. There's also betrayal, pain and what used to be love buried deep down inside all that.
- Smiling when he stabs Itachi with his sword.
- And stabbing him again. Without hesitation. But Itachi is a cheater.
- He can use genjutsu (illusions) fairly well now.
- Remembering when Itachi told him to get the Magenkyou Sharingan after the massacre.
- Asking about the third Uchiha survivor. He's the next person on his Kill List.
- Learning about Madara. The story about his little brother.
- ". . . People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define 'reality.' But what does it mean to be 'correct' or 'true'? Merely vague concepts . . . Their 'reality' may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?" "What are you getting at?" "Like the way you simply decided that Madara must be dead. Like the way you believed I was a kind, caring bother."
- Flashbacks to the massacre. His parents' bodies. Being told by Itachi that he acted like a caring brother in order to measure his capacity.
- Using the Magenkyou Sharingan makes you go blind and it can control the Kyuubi.
- What the flying fuck. Itachi wanting his eyes to achieve true immortality.
- Feeling . . . scared of that.
- Actual fight. Itachi pins him against a wall and takes his eye . . . okay no. It was the Tsukuyomi, but Sasuke manages to break through it.
- Amaterasu is terrible.
- Used strange techniques that aren't clearly his for this fight (Orochimaru's). And Kirin.
- Kirin leaves Itachi on the floor. Sasuke thinks it's finally over but Itachi stands up and goes for him.
- Susanoo. Itachi is blind by now.
- Orochimaru comes out but Itachi finishes him off.
- Itachi starts to cough blood.
- Tries to stop Itachi from approaching him, starting to panic. Ends up against a wall and Itachi seems to "accidentally" pokes Sasuke's forehead and . . . dies.
- Emptiness. Crazy brief smile.
What this means:
WATCH THIS SPACE. THIS IS BASICALLY THE WORST MEMORY THAT SASUKE WILL EVER REMEMBER. NOTHING WILL BE OKAY EVER AGAIN.
Someone should kick me into writing this tomorrow. But it will basically change everything and Sasuke might become even more focused on his brother than he was before. A lot of guilt, remorse, grief and self-loathing because he is aware that Itachi was pretending and lying during the whole fight. That he maybe planned to die. HE MIGHT START TO GO INSANE A BIT BECAUSE HE KILLED HIS BROTHER. OH NO REVENGE. FEELING EMPTY.
