Memories #46 to #55 | Skill #18

☆ The Kage Summit. [Note: "I shut my eyes a long time ago. The way to my goals lies in the other direction. In the darkness" ↔ Ch456P16 | Ch457P03-06 | Ch457P16-17 | Ch459P12 | Ch460P04-05 | Ch460P10-Ch461P09 | Ch461P16-Ch462P07 | Ch462P15-Ch465P07 | Ch465P11- Ch466P17] Significant Neutral
MEMORY #46 ♦ GAME #161 ♦ Mira ♦ Little cluster of heart-shaped mini-apples (Sharable: 7)

What he remembered/learned:
- He sneaked into a high-security meeting with the intention of killing Danzou.
- He killed over a dozen of samurai because they were doing his job and trying to kill a "criminal" (himself).
- He fought all the Kages and killed people mostly to test out his new eye techniques.
- Gaara cries for him.
- "I shut my eyes a long time ago. The way to my goals lies in the other direction. In the darkness"
- Starts to lose a lot of his sanity and his chakra grows colder and colder.
- Almost dies, but Tobi saves him as he passes out.

What this means:

This memory works as reference to what he became capable of doing after learning the truth. He killed people and was considered a wanted criminal. Sasuke won't exactly regret this, he will just be very aware of who he is and no one can talk him into thinking he is "good."

☆ Birthdays. Trivial Positive
MEMORY #47 ♦ GAME #162 ♦ Maleficent ♦ A black rose stem with sharp thorns (Sharable: 5)

What he remembered/learned:
It's self-explanatory. It's mostly a collection of the few birthdays Sasuke has before everything is ruined forever. The details are maybe a bit difficult to remember.

What this means:

A nice memory of a time when he had a family and everything was "okay." Sasuke always feels very bitter and conflicted when he gains memories like this.

☆ Preliminary for the Third Chuunin test [Note: A curse won't stop me ↔ Ch065P027-Ch068P105 | Ch069P113-115]Significant Positive
MEMORY #48 ♦ GAME #165 ♦ The Gingerbread Witch ♦ Girl-shaped cookies (Sharable: 2)

What he remembered/learned:
- He's in pain due to the Cursed Seal.
- Hokage explains the mechanics and real nature of the Chuunin test and the rules for the third round are also explained.
- Sakura tries to talk Sasuke out of participating because he's in pain and she doesn't understand what's going on. Sasuke is basically told that if he uses his chakra for the fight Kakashi will step in and stop the fight.
- Tells Naruto that he wants to fight him.
- He has to fight one of Orochimaru's men.
- Sasuke fights him without using ninjutsu and uses Lee's taijutsu to win.
- Manages to pull back the Cursed Seal when it tries to get out of control.
- Kakashi takes him after he wins so he can put a seal around the Curse Seal. Kakashi tells him that it'll work as long as Sasuke doesn't try to use the power it gives him.
- Passes out.

What this means:

This memory is a sig pos because Sasuke manages to do exactly what he wants and he wins all at the same time. He feels like he could win against the Cursed Seal. It also gives insight as to why he struggled so much during the fight with Gaara a while later.

☆ The truth about everything. [Note: This cannot be true ↔ Ch398P10-Ch401P15] Significant Negative
MEMORY #49 ♦ GAME #166 ♦ Alice ♦ Scrap of paper

What he remembered/learned:
- TOBI IS A MANIPULATIVE DOUCHEBAG AND EXPLAINS THE TRUTH IN SUCH A WAY THAT SASUKE ENDS UP BROKEN AND FEELING MISERABLE.
- The end.

What this means:

Can you tell how lazy I am? Sasuke took this memory a long time ago and it's not sharable so I'm super lazy. But this memory reinforces his own self-loathing and hatred towards Konoha.

Weapon techniques: Grass Cutting Sword: One Thousand Birds Katana Special
SKILL #18 ♦ SKILL GAME #30 ♦ Nimue ♦ Twig with a small blueberry on it

What this means:

This technique allows Sasuke to channel the Chidori through his sword. This makes it nearly unblockable as the radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, if an opponent is stabbed, their body goes numb due to an electrical current which causes the muscles to go numb, making it impossible for the opponent to move.

☆ Itachi giving him a dino toy, which makes Sasuke's attempts at being a terrifying Godzilla even worse.Significant Positive
MEMORY #50 ♦ GAME #169 ♦ Firebird ♦ Fiery butterfly in a small glass box

What he remembered/learned:
It's self-explanatory. This whole dino business started because Godzilla is canon in Naruto's universe and Sasuke had a dino toy when he was small.

What this means:

A nice memory that Sasuke tries to ignore as much as possible.

☆ Trying to follow Itachi to the Ninja Academy. Trivial Positive
MEMORY #51 ♦ GAME #171 ♦ Hatter & Dormouse ♦ HI, MY NAME IS _______ sticker (Sharable)

What he remembered/learned:
Another headcanon and self-explanatory memory.

What this means:

IT MEANS HE REMEMBERS ANOTHER THING HE TRIES TO PUSH ASIDE.

☆ A new team. [Note: Girls are strange ↔ Ch346P16- Ch348P17] Trivial Neutral
MEMORY #52 ♦ GAME #176 ♦ Nimue ♦ A miniature goblet, with a slightly less miniature glass vial (Sharable: 3)

What he remembered/learned:
- After killing Orochimaru, Sasuke goes to free Suigetsu.
- Sasuke knew exactly who he wanted to take in order to form Team Hebi/Taka.
- He doesn't seem to even react to naked people walking up into his space.
- Suigetsu makes his own intentions clear and Sasuke doesn't even seem bothered.
- They head to Zabuza's grave and Sasuke stares up at the "the great Naruto bridge."
- On his way to pick up Karin, Sasuke explains why he chose Suigetsu and the others.
- Orochimaru sure had a lot of people prisoner for experiments and the like.
- Orders Suigetsu to free all the people detained in the hideout.
- Karin gets too close and is kind of bipolar?

What this means:

It's not an impacting memory but Sasuke now knows how he found Karin and Suigetsu. Also, the part of the bridge gave him some feelings.

☆ Reunion with Naruto and Sakura [Note: Everything is always on a whim ↔ Ch305P13-Ch309-P17] Significant Neutral
MEMORY #53 ♦ GAME #178 ♦ Cassandra ♦ Box with Christmas crackers (Sharable: 3)

What he remembered/learned:
- Sasuke is asleep when someone opens the door to his room and something crawls in his bed towards him. It's that Konoha guy and he claims he's there to take him back to Konoha. That Sai wants to protect the bonds between Sasuke and Naruto.
- "Bonds? You woke me up to talk about bonds?" That's sure is Sasuke being cranky and exploding things.
- Sees Sakura and Naruto after over two years.
- Sai talks about bonds and that Sasuke should understand why Sakura and Naruto try to protect those bonds, and Sasuke is like "sure, I did know. And that's why I severed them. I have other bonds I carry: fraternal bonds, forged through hate. Having too many bonds causes one to lose focus, weakening their strongest wish, their greatest desire."
- He didn't kill Naruto because he didn't want to give Itachi the pleasure of him submitting to his plans. So he chose to spare Naruto's life on a whim.
- Tells Naruto that if he had time to go around looking for him, he would have been better off training. And reminds him of Naruto's dream to become Hokage.
- Tries to kill Naruto. Again.
- Sakura tries to attack but Yamato protects her and Sasuke injured him instead.
- Sasuke uses his Sharingan to see inside Naruto and detect the Kyuubi.
- Naruto yells at him that Orochimaru is going to take over his body and Sasuke is like I DON'T CARE AS LONG AS I GET MY REVENGE.
- Orochimaru stops Sasuke from using a technique and Kabuto reminds him that they want them alive so they can kill more Akatsuki members. Sasuke calls that a pathetic excuse.
- Kabuto is quite manipulative.

What this means:

You mean Sasuke needed more reminders as to why it's a bad idea to let himself form bonds with Sakura and Naruto in Aather? WELL, SURE. He deliberately chose to break those bonds and then was willing to kill them all. In Aather, thanks to his development and allowing himself some bonds outside of his brother (or even revenge) it's kind of difficult but . . . this is going to mess up a bit with him. Because he's done exactly what he didn't want in the past and now he's lost focus on what is important.

☆ Brother time. [Note: Archery is totally cool ↔ Ch580P09- 16]Significant Positive
MEMORY #54 ♦ GAME #179 ♦ The Jabberwock ♦ A hand mirror with a dark gray casing (Sharable: 7)

What he remembered/learned:
Apparently Itachi took Sasuke off when they were kids so Sasuke could train in real "battle" with big wild animals. Sasuke wasn't always the best and his archery needed more practice.

What this means:

It's a nice memory and will make him less cranky than the rest. He already knew about it because Itachi remembered it first, though.

☆ Living as an orphan [Note: 8-12 years old] Trivial Negative
MEMORY #55 ♦ GAME #180 ♦ Gerda ♦ A palm- sized teddy bear (Sharable: 2)

What he remembered/learned:
This is a huge memory of negative feelings that range from the moment he became an orphan to a bit before canon started. I'm not putting his training at the Ninja Academy just in case Kishimoto ever gives more flashbacks, but it's . . . mostly the time he spent living alone in the huge Uchiha compound.

What this means:

It's going to be a very painful memory to get back just from the fact it includes all the feelings of desperation, hatred, betrayal and everything he ever felt. All the loneliness and how he used that as fuel to become stronger and stay focused. It might drive him more to take this path if something shakes him up enough in Aather.
